Elementary students are dropped off and picked up on the south side of campus. According to the map below, you can see that elementary parents should enter the line from the west side of campus. Parents may line up in the morning to drop students off beginning at 8:15 am. The same process will take place at the end of the school day at 3:15 pm. There is no need to park or even get out of your car – a teacher or parent volunteer will open the door for you! Students may only exit or enter your vehicle when yours is the first car in line. If parents are quick to pull forward, the process should work smoothly. Please do not park in the vehicle path noted on the map and please pull forward all the way to the person opening doors. Please drive slowly and watch for other vehicles when traveling through the back lot.
The barricades in the parking lot designate a Safety Zone for our students. Even if you do not see students, please do not drive through this area at any time. The other side of the parking lot can be accessed by driving to the north side of campus.
Elementary students may not be dropped off before 8:15. Teachers have to be at school early for devotions, so we only have personnel available to watch the children of staff. If you are in need of a childcare center that can transport your children to and/or from school, contact the office for information.
Students arriving after the whistle has blown at 8:30 are considered tardy. All students are given five late morning arrival excuses per semester.
Kindergarten-2nd grade students who arrive after the students have left the field must be accompanied by their parent to their classroom to be checked in. After 8:45, you will need to sign your child in at the office.
3rd-6th graders who arrive after the students have left the field must drive around to the office and sign them in. (Please drive around the north side of the campus and not through the safety zone).
In your orientation packet, you should have received a last name sign for your family vehicle. Make sure to put your last name sign on your dashboard so we can quickly recognize vehicles. Thank you for your patience as we learn which vehicle goes with each student. Teachers are unable to conference while on duty. If you need to speak with a teacher on duty, please make an appointment in advance or park and wait for the teacher to finish his/her duty.
Students are dismissed at 3:15 and are brought down to the pick up line. Parents will be given a 15-minute grace period to pick up their child at the end of the school day. After this grace period, parents may be charged 50 cents a minute until someone arrives to pick up the child. Parents must sign the child out in the school office. An email will be sent to the parent indicating the pick up time and a record will be sent to the Financial Supervisor for billing.
