Janie Owen is an experienced and dedicated educator who has recently accepted the position of Kindergarten teacher at Faith Christian School. Janie brings a wealth of life experiences and a deep understanding of the importance of nurturing young minds. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from ASU as well as a Master’s Degree from NAU, specializing in the field. Janie’s educational background, coupled with her strong Christian values, forms the foundation of her teaching philosophy.

Prior to joining Faith Christian School, Janie served as an elementary school teacher and also gained valuable experience through short and long-term substitute teaching positions with Mesa Public Schools. Additionally, she currently contributes to the Cares ministry at Central Christian Church, where she is a dedicated member of the staff. Janie’s passion for teaching, combined with her unwavering faith in Jesus, fueled her enthusiasm to join Faith Christian School. She is excited to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment for her Kindergarten students, where she can inspire their academic growth while fostering their spiritual development.

Janie and her husband Eric have been married for 22 years and have two children and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, paddle boarding, cooking, watching movies, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Janie joined the Faith Family in 2023.
